LOS REPIQUES DE CAMPANA

Elevando al cielo su gayata de negrillo

dijo el sabio subido al carro de madera:

¡Declaro inaugurada la cosecha!

Ahora los aperos de labranza comenzarán el baile

de los brazos tornasolados en el seco aire de castilla,

como un juez severo y preciso sobre el cuello

tallado de la espiga.

Las cuadrillas de hombres serán festejadas,

con un botijo de agua fresca cada hora de sol,

cambiando turnos en el girar de los mulos

en la trilla, cuando se confunda hambre y sed en la era

sobre la camisa empapada del más no poder.

Las mujeres con su presencia de mandil y zueco,

aseguran merienda y siesta bajo el roble o la encina,

según el estado viril, después de la misa.

Todo mozalbete pronto aprende en la meseta

las normas de convivencia en el pueblo:

cerrar la cancela al salir de la huerta,

no hacer leña del árbol, por el rayo hendido,

de cuyas raíces no fueras el dueño,

usar la guadaña sin elevarla un palmo del suelo y

los sutiles repiques de campana llamando a:

fiesta, funeral o fuego.

PEALS OF BELL

Raising to heaven his black baton

said the wise man on the wooden cart:

I declare the harvest inaugurated!

Now the farmland implements will start the dance

of the iridescent arms in the dry air of Castile,

like a severe and precise judge on the neck

carving of the spike.

The gangs of men will be celebrated,

with a jug of fresh water every hour of sunshine,

changing shifts in the revolving around of the mules

in the threshing, when hunger and thirst are confused in the plot

on the exhausted soaked shirt.

Women with their apron and clog presence,

ensure tea and nap under the oak or holm oak,

according to the virile state, after mass.

Every boy soon learns on the plateau

the rules of cohabitation in the town:

to close the gate when leaving the vegetable garden,

not make firewood from the tree, by the cleaved lightning,

whose roots you were not the master,

to use the scythe without lifting it an inch off the ground and

the delicate peals of bell calling to:

festivity, funeral or fire.

EL PROCESO DE ENFERMAR: CONDICIONES Y CONTRADICCIONES

El Psicoanálisis nos propone reconstruir el proceso de enfermar de la Melancolía: al principio existe una elección de objeto, o sea enlace de la libido a una persona determinada. Por la influencia de una ofensa real o de un desengaño, inferido por la persona amada, surge una conmoción de esta relación objetal, cuyo resultado no fue el normal, o sea la sustracción de la libido de este objeto y su desplazamiento hacia uno nuevo (mecanismo de sustitución necesario para la producción de salud), sino otro muy distinto, que parece exigir, para su génesis, varias condiciones. La carga del objeto demuestra tener poca energía de resistencia y queda abandonada; pero la libido libre no se desplazada sobre otro objeto, queda retraída al yo, y encuentra en éste una aplicación determinada, sirviendo para establecer una identificación del yo con el objeto abandonado.

La sombra del objeto cayó así sobre el yo; este último, a partir de este momento, puede ser juzgado por una instancia especial, como un objeto, y en realidad como el objeto abandonado. De este modo se transforma la pérdida del objeto en una pérdida del yo, y el conflicto entre el yo y la persona amada, en una disociación entre la actividad crítica del yo y el yo modificado por el mecanismo psíquico de la identificación.

Una o dos cosas se deducen directamente de los resultados y condiciones de este proceso. Por un lado, tiene que haber existido una enérgica fijación al objeto erótico; y por otro, en contradicción con la misma, una escasa energía de resistencia de la carga de objeto. Esta contradicción parece exigir, que la elección de objeto haya tenido efecto sobre una base narcisista; de manera que en el momento en que surja alguna contrariedad pueda la carga de objeto retroceder al narcisismo.

La identificación narcisista con el objeto se convierte entonces en un sustitutivo de la carga erótica, a consecuencia de la cual no puede ser abandonada la relación erótica, a pesar del conflicto con la persona amada. Esta sustitución del amor al objeto por una identificación es un importante mecanismo en las afecciones narcisísticas. Corresponde, naturalmente, a la regresión de un tipo de la elección de objeto al narcisismo primitivo, mecanismo que interviene en las depresiones y guarda estrecha relación con las enfermedades orgánicas, como trabajaremos más adelante un caso de Depresión y Cáncer de mama.

THE PROCESS OF FALLING ILL: CONDITIONS AND CONTRADICTIONS

Psychoanalysis proposes us to reconstruct the process of falling ill with melancholy: first there is a choice of an object, it means, a link of libido to a specific person. Due to the influence of a real offense or disappointment inferred by the loved one, a shock arises in this object relationship, which result was not the normal one, that is, the subtraction of the libido of this object and its displacement towards a new one (a necessary mechanism of substitution for the production of health), that is another one very different which seems to require for its genesis, several conditions. The charge of the object proves to have scant energy of resistance and it is abandoned; but the free libido does not displace on another object, it remains reserved to the ego, and it finds in it a specific application, serving to establish an identification of the ego with the abandoned object.

The shadow of the object thus fell on the ego; the latter, from this moment on, can be judged by a special instance, as an object, actually, as the abandoned object. In this way the loss of the object is transformed into a loss of the ego, and the conflict between the self and the loved one, into dissociation between the critical activity of the self and the self-modified by the psychic mechanism of identification.

One or two things follow directly from the results and conditions of this process. On the one hand, there must have been an energetic fixation on the erotic object; and on the other, in contradiction to it, low resistance energy of the object charge. This contradiction seems to demand that the choice of object has had an effect on a narcissistic basis; so that at the moment in which some annoyance arises, the object charge can revert to narcissism.

The narcissistic identification with the object then becomes a substitute for the erotic charge, as a result of which the erotic relationship cannot be abandoned, despite the conflict with the loved one. This substitution of identification for object love is an important mechanism in narcissistic affections. Naturally, it corresponds to the regression of a type of object choice to primitive narcissism, a mechanism that intervenes in depressions and is closely related to organic diseases, as a case of Depression and Breast Cancer will be discussed later.
